Japan – Postponed until 2021 (due to travel restrictions)

Nozawa Onsen is a small traditional village surrounded by breathtaking views of mountains and valleys. There are temples and shrines to explore, many indoor and outdoor baths in which to relax  – or an opportunity to sit back and watch daily life in a small Japanese village.

Japan is a culture of contrasts like nowhere else on earth. It’s the most technologically advanced country in the world, yet once you leave the cities you will discover the intimate connection to it’s ancient heritage and deep spiritual and meditative traditions and practices. September is a magical time to visit Nozawa Onsen – flowers/green lush mountains/walking trails and the many temples set in nature ensure a relaxing and rejuvenating visit.

The retreat is hosted by Liz Costigan – who has conduced Retreats (over the last 12 years) in Cambodia, Indonesia and Myanmar. It is suitable and caters to all levels and beginners are most welcome! You will receive individual attention and instruction – including yoga philosophy to help you further develop your yoga practice.

Liz is a Certified Junior Intermediate 1 Iyengar Yoga teacher and is the founder of Byron Yoga Lounge in Byron Bay NSW Australia. She has a background as a Registered Nurse.

“Yoga brings us to a conscious state of awareness to restore balance to our body, mind, breath, heart and soul” Liz is committed to studying in the Iyengar Yoga System and has done so for the past 14 years. She has a daily practice and currently studies with Senior Iyengar Teacher Caroline Coggins
